In Exodus 33 & 34, because of Israel's sin, God declares that the people will continue to the promised land but that his presence will not be with him. This leads to great mourning and fear among the people. Why is the presence of God significant? Also, what does it mean to be in the presence of God? Is it an emotional state or feeling of security…or is it something else?
